Quick answer: You can update the address fields on your current Sunbiz listing to stop using your home as your business contact address. We’ll help you get your Naples business address set up and provide the details you need for the appropriate updates. Earlier filings may still show your previous address.

Where does your home address show up on Sunbiz?

Sunbiz is the Florida Division of Corporations’ public business search. Open your company’s detail page and check every address on it, because a home address can appear in more than one place:

  • Principal address
  • Mailing address
  • Registered agent name and address
  • Names and addresses of officers, managers, or authorized persons

These fields are independent, so review each one and decide which you want to update.

How do you get your replacement address ready?

Start by choosing a plan. Our Naples address is a commercial street address at 347 Airport Pulling Rd N, Naples, FL 34104, with a unique suite number assigned to your account.

You complete USPS Form 1583 and upload your IDs online, with no notary appointment or office visit required. Once your setup is approved, your address is ready to use on your filings.

How do you update your Sunbiz record?

  1. Go to the Division of Corporations’ Update Your Information page.
  2. Pick the route that matches what you’re changing. The Division offers one form for an entity’s email, FEIN, and principal or mailing address, and a separate form for an officer, director, manager, or designated principal’s address.
  3. If your business was formed before January 1 of the current year, you can also make changes through an annual report or amended annual report. Florida LLCs file their annual report between January 1 and May 1, which makes it a natural time to update addresses. Confirm current deadlines on Sunbiz.
  4. Double-check every address field before you submit.
  5. Search for your company on Sunbiz afterward and confirm the new addresses appear.

Forms and filing rules change, so follow the instructions on the Division’s site for the route you choose.

What about the registered agent address?

If your home address is also listed as your registered agent address, you can change that field too. Our Business Address + Registered Agent plan covers both: you use your Naples suite for the principal, mailing, and manager addresses, and our registered office, 997 N Collier Blvd, Suite E in Marco Island, for the registered agent. We give you the exact agent name and registered-office details to use during setup.

Once your address is ready, you file the update with the Division of Corporations to make the change official.

What stays on the public record?

An update replaces the addresses on your current record. Earlier filings, such as your articles of organization and past annual reports, are historical records and may keep showing the address you used at the time.

A Sunbiz update also changes only the Division of Corporations’ record. Your other agencies, including the Florida Department of Revenue, state licensing boards such as DBPR, your local business tax receipt, your bank, and the IRS, each have their own update process. Business directories that copied your listing are separate too.

What does a Naples business address include?

When business mail arrives, we upload a photo of the outside of your incoming business mail so you can see what came in. Obvious junk mail is shredded. From your phone or computer, choose what works best for you: request a scan to read the contents, have the original forwarded to any address you choose, arrange pickup, or ask us to shred it.

Our plans focus on your address and mail handling rather than office space. See the plans for current options.
